Amanda Habbershaw

Name:Amanda Habbershaw
Born in:London, Great Britain
Experience:17 years
Main training areas:Scientific English, Business English, intercultural competence, Anglo-Saxon culture
Background:When I left school I wanted to leave the U.K. and discover other languages and cultures. So that's what I did. Ever since I became a trainer, I have enjoyed sharing my enthusiasm for languages and culture with others. Training is by no means a one-way activity. Although students learn from me, I learn a great deal from them. And that's what I like most about my job: learning from each other!
Methodology:Constructivist learning methods, a practical approach that provides learners with the skills they need for their day-to-day working lives; all workshops are tailored to the learners and the desired learning outcome.
Qualifications:M.A. Applied Foreign Languages (Université Lyon II), Cambridge Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (CELTA), London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Certificate in Teaching English for Business (CertEb), Intercultural Trainer and Consultant Programme, Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg
Associations:International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATELF)
Society for Intercultural Training and Research (SIETAR) Deutschland e.V.
Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer e.V.
